This weekend was my good friend Renee's Housewarming/One-year Wedding Anniversary party at her and her hubbies brand new home in Little Elm. I thought the occasion called for a special card...so I whipped one up!

Jo-Ann Fabric had ALL of their paper crafting supplies 50% off this past week so I used the opportunity to pick up some Tim Holtz Sizzix Dies I have been drooling over but could not bring myself to pay full price for. The little birdie and the cage were cut out of chipboard from one of the dies I picked up. I then painted the cage with Ranger Liquid Pearls in silver and then stained it with Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink in Caramel, giving it a rusted look.
For the bird, I stamped him with a flourish using Staz-on Ink in Timber Brown and then sprayed it with some brown shimmer mist.

I stamped the little Love in the corner to represent their anniversary. :)
I really hope they enjoyed it!
