Day at the Farm {Mini Album}

I actually created this little gem at the Great American Scrapbook Convention that I attended with my friend Angela last year (and will definitely be attending this year). I made this in a class we took where I swear I learned a gazillion techniques in under 2 hours! Talk about marathon scrapping! Anywho...thought I would share it here...

we LOVE to SKI {Layout}

Just a quick post today to share my first layout of 2011. I didn't take any in-progress photos so all I have is the end product. I used Colorbox Pearlized Cardstock for all of the snowflakes and letters, and my Cricut to cut them out. Hope you enjoy!
(p.s. please excuse the really awful photographs...I took these at about 2am.)

Etching {project}

I dabbled in etching a while back and in an effort to make some thrifty yet meaningful Christmas presents, I have taken it back up. It's SOOO easy and the effects are stunning and unique!
So here is how I did it...

First you get this stuff from Hobby Lobby
Then I used my Cricut to cut some stencils of doves out of this self-adhesive vinyl
And then apply the stencil to the glass item you have decided to etch, making sure to burnish your stencil well so you don't have any bubbles for the etching cream to ooze into.
(Large images with little detail work better than small, intricate images.)
Then apply the Armour Etch to the inside of the stencil in a thick layer and let sit for 5 minutes.
(sorry, I forgot to take a picture of this step)
The run your glass under running water to get the cream off , and remove the stencil.
Viola!
I am putting a scented pillar candle in mine.

The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Christmas 2011 {Layout}

I have 4 bonus kids that live in Iowa. In an effort to make them feel closer to us, I created a scrapbook when they were here last summer with empty pages left at the back to add new pages as time goes on. They were all here over the Christmas break so I used some photos from that time to make a new 2 page layout for their book. I'm hoping to get them in the mail today. Hope you enjoy!

I used THIS to make these layouts.
